I have not read the Diet 4 Idiots but  avoiding high glycemic foods such as the foods mentioned in this post, is an effective way to trim the fat and shed the pounds.

The low glycemic &#039;diet&#039; is not really a diet but a way of eating - eating the right foods. 

With the right foods and sufficient exercise (even 30 mins of walking consistently three times a week is helpful), plus change in eating habits, one will lose weight.

I&#039;m a vegetarian that has mainly a raw food diet.  I&#039;m almost 40 and am pretty happy with my weight but would like to lose those extra 6 pounds.  Its very difficult!  You are so right about white flour breads and soft drinks.  Soft drinks are like drinking liquid sugar or liquid cancer if you like diet.  Nowadays, according to our social demographics, it is so important that people be informed about proper eating habits.  Keep up the good work!</description>
