The Best Health Books Recommended By RightEatingHabits.com

Our health should be one of our life’s major investments. With rising medical costs, easy access to good health care could one day be beyond the reach of the average middle class Jo.

Here is a selection of the my personal list of best health books. I refer to these health books frequently for food recipes, diet tips and nutritional information. I would recommend this list of health books to anyone who is concerned with losing weight, staying healthy and looking younger than their real age.

Thin People Don't Diet

Thin People Don’t Clean Their Plates

”Thin People Don’t Clean Their Plates” by Dietician Jill Fleming, MS Nutritional Science. This book contains findings from 10,000 hours of research into the lives of Thin People. People are thin not because they are plain lucky to have “thin” genes. People are thin because of right eating habits. Chapters include: Thin People Don’t Diet, Thin People Carry Snacks, Thin People Don’t Go to Bed Full, Thin People Eat Fruits and Vegetables. A highly recommended weight loss health book with many practical and useful eating tips.

Automatic Diet

Automatic Diet

Negative mind traps and negative patterns of eating are sometimes the cause of our inability to lose weight despite our best efforts. In his book, ”Automatic Diet”, weight-loss and behavioral-change expert Charles Stuart Platkin outlines 10 steps to changing your personal pattern of eating and weight gain. You’ll examine your habits, master diet traps, craft strategies, and make change happen. Automatic Diet is among my recommended list of health books for people who are sick and tired of crash diets and diet fads, and need support in changing their mental patterns of eating.

live longer diet

The Live Longer Diet

The secret to staying healthy and living longer lives is really no secret. In her book, ”The Live Longer Diet”, British nutritionist Sally Beare shares her findings on the eating habits of the world’s five longest-living communities. Human beings can live up to 120 years old, but only if they are eating right. The author highlights 15 secrets to living a longer life and the diet of the world’s longest-living people. A highly recommended health book for anyone interested in uncovering the secrets to staying healthy and living longer lives.

modern day macrobiotics

Staying Healthy With Modern Day Macrobiotics

Simon Brown’s ”Modern Day Macrobiotics” is one book that sits right there on my kitchen shelf. I refer to it frequently fo healthy food recipes. I read it to refresh my understanding of the macrobiotic diet. Eating macrobiotic foods is about eating primarily whole, living, unprocessed foods and foods low on the glycemic index. But eating healthy does not mean boring, bland meals. You can choose from nearly 80 healthy food recipes, with each meal marked with icons showing what types of energy the dish imparts. For staying healthy, try the three-day diet to detox. For transforming your health, try the 10-day healing menu or the four-month healing menu. You will be amazed by the results. Definitely one of my best health books!
